Environments
Helthjem has two environments. Build and test your integration in pre-prod, then switch to production when you go live.

All endpoint paths are the same in both environments. Only the base URL and the credentials change.
Credentials
You need a client_id and a client_secret to request an access token. See Authentication for how to use them.
- Pre-prod and production use different credentials. Pre-prod credentials don't work in production, and the other way round.
Keep your credentials secret
Store your client_secret on your server, for example in a secrets manager or environment variable. Never put it in client-side code, mobile apps or public repositories such as GitHub.
Test shop
In pre-prod, use the test shop shopId: 16 unless our Integrations Team gives you your own test shop. All examples in this documentation use shopId: 16.
In production, use the shopId you receive from Helthjem. Your credentials only give access to your own shops. Using another shopId returns 403 with errorKey: no.access.shop.id.
Switching to production
When your integration is tested in pre-prod:
- Work through the Go-live checklist.
- Change the base URL to
https://api.helthjem.no. - Replace your test
client_id,client_secretandshopIdwith the production values.
